My work is often character-led, long-form and investigative; spotlighting the humans behind the headlines and the stories that shape our times. My investigations have exposed how period-tracking apps sold women’s data. Revealed the mothers being taken to court over allegations of fabricating their children’s long Covid. Uncovered online misinformation campaigns propagated by global governments. Documented Ukrainian surrogate mothers trapped in a war zone. I’ve revealed how climate change traps poor countries in debt, analysed bitcoin’s dirty carbon footprint, and explored the devastating side-effects of prescription drugs.
I’ve embedded with Indigenous firefighters in the Brazilian Amazon, traversed Europe’s “manure-belt” to investigate the health impacts of nitrate pollution and reported from Panama City on its waste crisis. My dispatches span Asia, Europe, Latin America & North Africa.
I’ve worked in national newsrooms in the UK, including reporting on the BBC’s World desk, breaking news and subbing at The Times, and reporting and editing at the Financial Times, The i Paper and Business Green. I’ve discussed my investigations on Times Radio and The Observer’s Slow Newscast podcast; produced and edited short-form docs; and spearheaded several FT special report series on the circular economy and green innovations.
Alongside journalism, I work with brands and agencies on copywriting, content strategy, campaigns and brand storytelling - bringing a journalist’s rigour and a storyteller’s eye.
